Requirements
Education
Minimum Bachelor's degree in statistics, economics, or related field. Preferable master. Master's in social sciences/ Statistics/ Development Studies/ Geography and Environmental Science or any other relevant subject.

Additional Requirements
Minimum 3 to 4 years of professional experience in the relevant field having relevant job responsibilities.
Understanding of DRR, Site Management, and Site Development sector
Professional skills in data analysis and visualization software (Excel, Power BI, Tableau), competence in the use of mobile-based data collection tools (Kobo, ODK), knowledge of GIS, and basic mapping skills.
Understanding the context of the Rohingya Refugee Crisis and experience working in Cox's Bazar would be an advantage.
Excellent verbal and written language skills in both English and Bengali.
Computer skills, including knowledge of relevant software, e.g. Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities & Context
The MEAL officer will be the key MEAL focal of the project. S/He will be responsible for ensuring the implementation of WFP-provided tools and templates and monitoring the quality implementation and reporting throughout the project. Key deliverables of the MEAL Officer are but are not limited to-Weekly Operational plan update (reviewed & endorsed by the Project Manager) – Monthly Distribution report (reviewed & endorsed by the Project Manager), 4W Matrix, Log frame, MEAL Framework, MEAL Plan, Indicator Performance Tracking Table (IPTT), management of Complaint Feedback and Response Mechanism (CFRM) services, Beneficiary Database Management, GIS Mapping, Case study, etc.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
Responsibility-1: Monitoring and Evaluation
Ensure effective monitoring and evaluation of project quality, using donor monitoring tools appropriately.
Work with the Project Manager to ensure quality implementation and adherence to meet the donor's standards.
Oversee implementation of the M&E system and tracking of Key Performance Indicators as approved by the donor.
Regular field monitoring visits, sharing visit reports, sharing good practices, identifying improvement areas of the project, and sharing with respective project and MEAL staff.
To track project progress through Log frame, MEAL Framework, MEAL Plan, and Indicator Performance Tracking Table (IPTT) and reporting.
Support management and accountability through routine, accurate collection of CFRM data.
Provide support to the MEAL Manager (logistics, data collection, data entry) to conduct project MEAL tasks.
Regular field visits to conduct various MEAL activities like on-spot monitoring, Post-Distribution Monitoring (PDM), cash distribution monitoring, qualitative and quantitative data collection, etc., for project progress reporting.
Attend regular project meetings and share MEAL updates with participants.
