Responsibilities & Context
Community Development Centre (CODEC) invites application for the following positions from the potential Bangladeshi nationals for implementing ‘‘Education for Rohingya Refugee and Host Community Children in Bangladesh’’ Project funded by UNESCO.
The working location will be at Ukhiya in Cox’s Bazar.
Preparation of payment vouchers with ensuring deduction of Taxes & VAT;·
Keeping invoices, staff advances other documents and records properly & safely;
Data entry in accounting system;·
Prepare staff payroll and others.
Maintenance of fixed assets memorandum and preparation of monthly statement according to c apitalization policy.
Update all financial books and records as per financial procedures following CODEC & UNESCO's financial compliance·
Ensure a mechanism of all expenses including district offices to keeping controlling within total approved budget.
Maintain and update all bill and vouchers of every expense of the program·
Ensure maintenance of purchase procedures.
Prepare periodic (monthly, quarterly, annual) financial reports and submit to the Project Manager within the 5th day of each following month so that Project Coordinator can submit it within 10th day of each month to Donor/ Donor's scheduled time.
Assist and orient the respective Accounts Personnel to ensure financial and administrative responsibilities in the projects.
Ensure the accounts keeping, stock registers and establish a financial controlling mechanism with all district offices.
Ensure a physical inventory records in each Project /area office and ensure to update it on quarterly basis.·
Carry out any assigned task need to be accomplishing within the due time as instructed given by Project Coordinator and Head Office Financial Personnel.·
Preserve invoices and all other related documents, so that internal & external Audit could be performed without any objections.
Taking of GL details from computer and preparation of different Reports, working advance etc.
Assist annual operational plan of project jointly with the regional team.·
Maintain all the financial records, budget control and prepare the report for the education part in Cox'sBazar. At the same time, he will compile the reports of and parts of the project and submit to project Management. He will be responsible for Coordinating with other Finance and Admin personnel of the project.
Financial update report- quarterly (Budget vs. Actual) prepare and submit to CODEC Head Office but monthly to Project Management.
Monthly work plan of accomplishment report will submit to Project Management copy to Focal Person.
Monitor of payment vouchers with ensuring deduction of Taxes & VAT;·
Should have good knowledge on budgeting, and financial compliance management.·
Keep invoice and all other related documents, so, that internal & external Audit could be performed without any objections.
Financial controlling and financial reporting skill.
Ensure the safety of team members (in respect to Prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse - PSEA) from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme's goals on safeguarding implementation.
Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any report able incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
S/he should abide by the Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC)’s six core principles on Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) policy.
