      Responsibilities & Context

      The purpose of the role is to work on overall areas of Development to achieve SKUS's growth in Bangladesh. The post-holder will need to nurture and manage a number of relations, both internal and external. Importantly, s/he will need to work with Program, Finance and HR both in proposal development and profile building. S/he will manage relationships with donors, partners, governments and other stakeholders in support of the development process.

      Key Accountabilities  

      1. Set annual fundraising targets in coordination with the Chairperson, program and Finance department.

      2. Ensure that proposals for raising funds fall within the SKUS vision, aims and strategy and align with SKUS policies and processes.

      3. Set business development priorities on a quarterly, monthly and weekly basis with the concerned department and team

      4. Ensure regular routine of basic business development activities: donor and call screening and intelligence gathering; sharing intelligence internally; initiating proposal development; recording information; recording donor and partner information; reporting monthly and quarterly on fundraising performance

      5. Proactively engage with donor organizations, setting up meetings to understand their priorities and to showcase SKUS performance and achievements

      6. Proactively engage, in coordination with INGOs, local NGOs and CSOs, consulting firms and private sector companies with a view to forming consortia and partnerships that will enhance SKUS’s work and increase the potential for securing funding.

      7. Ensure leadership on the coordination of proposal development, including scheduling, clarifying roles and responsibilities, sign-off/internal approval and submission.

      8. Support on monthly, quarterly and annual reporting and planning for business development, ensuring timely preparation and data analysis

      9. Conduct design workshops for proposal development

      10. Work on the proposal strategy, design, writing, and review sessions with the technical teams throughout the life of the proposal development and submission. Work with subject matter experts to translate technical solutions into a clearly articulated, compelling, and compliant proposal document that is well-written

      11. Set up a team combining relevant expertise to achieve win strategy/theme development.

      12. Review final technical proposal content for clarity, consistency, and responsiveness to solicitation requirements in preparation for reviews and final production.

      13. Quality control of proposal development, including clarity and alignment of the theory of change, proposal, results framework and budget; alignment with donor requirements and call for proposals and concept notes.

      14. Be responsible for preparing the final version of proposals and submission where required and ensure submission.

      15. Ensure the coordination of proposal development, including scheduling, clarifying roles and responsibilities, sign-off/internal approval and submission.

      16. Engage relevant consultants to write proposals as appropriate.

      17. Able to develop or create donor mapping in humanitarian and development contexts
